VIRJEAN LOOSER
Virjean ‘Jeanne’ Looser, age 86, of Delphos, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 7, 1939, in Delphos to the late Steve and Helen (Pohlman) Dickman. On April 18, 1959, she married Kenneth Looser Sr., the love of her life, and together they shared over 66 years of happiness and memories. He survives in Delphos.
Jeanne is survived by four sons, Kirk (Lisa) Looser, K.C. (Debra) Looser Jr., Craig (Sheila) Looser, all of Delphos, and Kevin (Leslie) Looser of Lakeview; a daughter, Cynthia Looser of Delphos; three sisters, Ann Johnson, Patti (Phil) Hablitzel, and Helen M. Dickman; nine grandchildren, Dustin (Holly) Looser, Tiffany (Herbert) Pereira, Brad (Kelly) Looser, Drew Looser, Kylee (Joe) Harrmann, Lindsey (Shane) Hetrick, Courtney Looser, Logan (Christie) Looser, and Cody (Emily) Looser; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Brooks, Connor, Lillian, Noah, Quinn, Grady, Maryn, Maizee, Avery, Daks, Gabriel, Harper, Alden, Rudy, and Callan.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Dickman; a brother-in-law, Fritz Johnson; and her father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Jesslyn Looser, and a great-grandson, Kai Looser.
Jeanne was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a 1957 graduate of Delphos St. John’s. Jeanne had taught and substituted at St. John’s Elementary; she also taught many migrant children who came to the area with their parents. Kenny and Jeanne had owned and operated the Jack and Jill Shop in Delphos.
Jeanne enjoyed Swedish weaving, crocheting, and counted cross-stitch. She also enjoyed golfing and worked at the Pro Shop at Limberlost Golf Course in Indiana. She enjoyed the last 20 years of winters in Florida. Jeanne dearly loved all her time spent with her kids, grandkids, and great-grands, especially lake times together building memories around the campfires.
A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation for Jeanne will be at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., with a parish wake to be held at 7:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home.
