BOWLING GREEN — It was a banner day for local golf at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Thursday, as St. John’s earned district runner-up honors to clinch a team berth to the Division III State Championships, while Ottoville’s Evan Altenburger joined the state field as an individual qualifier.
OTTAWA — The Division III sectional tournament at Pike Run Golf Club on Thursday brought plenty of excitement for area boys golf teams, with a pair of Ottoville standouts making sure the Big Green will be represented at the next stage.
OTTAWA — Ottoville’s Evan Altenburger carded a 67 to earn medalist honors at Monday’s Putnam County League (PCL) boys golf championships at Pike Run Golf Club. Kalida claimed the team title with a score of 316.
OTTAWA — The Fort Jennings Musketeers and Ottoville Big Green boys golf teams joined Kalida at Moose Landing Country Club on Friday evening for a Putnam County League (PCL) tri-match.
VAN WERT — It couldn’t have been much closer at Willow Bend Country Club on Wednesday evening, as Lincolnview edged host Van Wert by a single stroke in a competitive non-conference tri-match that also included Ottoville.
BOWLING GREEN — The Jefferson Wildcats, Lincolnview Lancers and Ottoville Big Green boys golf teams made the trip to Stone Ridge Golf Club on Wednesday morning for the annual Woodmore Wildcat Invitational, which brought together 20 schools from across the region.
OTTAWA — In one of the area’s most competitive early-season tournaments, the St. John’s Blue Jays and Ottoville Big Green both delivered strong performances at the Kalida Invitational on Wednesday morning, hosted at Moose Landing Country Club.
