
Musketeers battle to 1-1 draw at Bath
BATH — The Fort Jennings Musketeers (5-4-3) traveled to Bath on Thursday evening for a non-conference boys soccer matchup with the Wildcats (4-5-3), and the two teams battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

OTTAWA — The Division III sectional tournament at Pike Run Golf Club on Thursday brought plenty of excitement for area boys golf teams, with a pair of Ottoville standouts making sure the Big Green will be represented at the next stage.

OTTOVILLE — It’s State Report Card time and Ottoville Local Schools maintained its status quo rating 4.5 stars out of 5 stars again this year.

Jefferson High School has announced its 2025 Homecoming Court. Court members include, front from left, Senior Luke Rode, Senior, Nakiyah Kimmett, Senior Kellen Carder, Senior Lily Smith, Senior Jace Lindeman and Senior Claire Stokes; center, juniors Malin Casemier and Carlie Sommers, sophomores Addison Eickholt and Natalie Taggi and freshmen Colbie Staples and Bryar Suever; and back, juniors Eli Sherrick and Parker Shade, sophomore Aiden Kroeger and Tyler Wiseman and freshmen Hunter Lane, and Braylon Wannemacher. The homecoming football game is Friday, Oct. 3 vs. LCC. The court ceremony will begin at 6 pm with the recognition of Anniversary Queens, presentation of the 2025 Homecoming Court and the crowning of the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen.The dance will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4 in the high school gymnasium. This year’s theme if “Under the Sea.”

We have been enjoying the last few weeks of beautiful weather. It cools off at nighttime making it great sleeping weather as well.

— Interstate 75 between Hanthorn Road overpass and State Route 81 will be restricted to one lane, each weekend for five weeks between Sept. 12 - Oct. 11, Friday night- Saturday night, for concrete pavement repair.

DELPHOS — Seniors from both local schools took Friday to get out of the classroom and learn together what local businesses have to offer in the jobs’ field.

No. 1 Ohio State (3-0) and the also unbeaten Washington Huskies (3-0) meet in a 12:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (3:30 p.m. EDT) game Saturday at Husky Stadium in Seattle.
