DEFIANCE — The Fort Jennings Musketeers (11-5-4) pulled off a thrilling upset Saturday afternoon at Defiance’s Fred J. Brown Athletic Complex, knocking off top-seeded Continental (16-2-2) 2-1 in the Division V District Finals to punch their ticket to regionals for the first time since 2015.
ELIDA — Based on the records, the Ottoville boys soccer unit had to be favored in its Division V District final versus Ottawa Hills on a chilly Saturday night. The Green Bears (9-9-2) defeated the 2024 State semifinalist Big Green (14-3-3) 2-1.

TIFFIN — The St. John’s Lady Jays girls cross country team is headed to the Division IV State Meet after earning a top-nine finish at Saturday’s Tiffin Regional. St. John’s placed seventh overall with a team score of 280, securing one of the final qualifying spots for next weekend’s state championships.
SPENCERVILLE — The Jefferson Wildcats (1-9) came out swinging in the annual Battle of Route 66 on Friday night, taking an early lead and battling toe-to-toe with rival Spencerville (2-8) before the Bearcats pulled away in the second half for a 46-18 victory at Memorial Field.
NEW BREMEN — The St. John’s Blue Jays (1-9) closed out their 2025 season Friday night with a 42-7 road loss to New Bremen (6-4) in Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) play.
