Auditions set for Bonnie & Clyde

VAN WERT — The Van Wert Civic Theatre proudly announces its fall 2025 production of Bonnie & Clyde, a powerful and provocative musical based on the real-life exploits of two of America’s most infamous outlaws. With performances running Sept. 18–21 and 25–28, 2025, this bold production promises a thrilling mix of passion, crime, and heartbreak set to a dynamic score of blues, gospel, and rockabilly.

Senior center full of activities for July

DELPHOS — Our Red, White and Blue Celebration will be Friday, July 25 in the large shelter house at Waterworks Park! We’ll have a golf cart to shuttle you from our West Parking Lot to the shelter house. Hamburgers on the grill, featuring “Rode burgers”, will be served with all the fixins’, as well as potato salad, watermelon and dessert at 11:30 am. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased by July 16. Marie Walton from Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will present “Terrific Turtles” at 1 pm. We’re still celebrating our 50th Anniversary, so there will be some announcements and fun at 12:30. Don’t miss another chance to have some fun at our Red, White and Blue Celebration!!

Celebrating Verena and Daniel Ray’s wedding day

Lovina is taking this week off from the column to rest up after her busy week hosting Verena and Daniel Ray’s wedding. I am her “English” friend Ruth, and I helped Lovina last week by running errands and was able to attend the wedding so I will share a little about that.
