In Indianapolis, more than 250 high school sports and activities participants and more than 100 college and adult ambassadors are participating in the National Student Leadership Summit (NSLS) sponsored by the NFHS.
INFORMATION SUBMITTED COLUMBUS — Four Ohio State Buckeye football players were among 12 in the Big Ten Conference to receive preseason honors in front of the start of 2024 Big Ten Media Days at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Buckeyes selected by a conference-wide panel of media voters, including two from each member school, included sophomore SAF Caleb Downs, senior WR Emeka Egbuka, senior RB TreVeyon Henderson and senior DE JT Tuimoloau.
CELINA — At the prestigious Celina Invitational held at The Lynx Golf Course, Tyce McClain and Evan Altenburger delivered remarkable performances, securing top placements with scores of 72 and 78, respectively. McClain’s stellar play earned him first place overall, while Altenburger’s impressive efforts landed him in the top ten.
DELPHOS — The Delphos Country Club hosted the annual Tee Off Classic on Monday, featuring golf teams from St. John’s, Jefferson, Ottoville and Fort Jennings. The event saw impressive performances, with the St. John’s boys and Jefferson girls teams both capturing the championship titles.
