Kevin Keeling, 69, of Delphos, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. The burial will be held at a later date. ROBERT J. MASON

Robert “Rob” J. Mason, 55, of Landeck, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Lima, OH, on December 16, 1968, to Roger and Joan (Knebel) Mason. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Landeck. Rob is also survived by a daughter, Nichole Mason of Grove City; son, Craig Mason of Pataskala; brothers, Chris Mason, Terry Knebel, and Jeff (Connie) Knebel; sister, Lisa Jewel; and grandson, Mason Boggs Rob was preceded in death by an infant son, Nicholas Mason. Rob was a big football fan, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He liked to fish, work with his hands, and could fix anything. Rob enjoyed sitting around a campfire and tending to his garden. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Landeck, OH at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeway Academy and Therapy Center 1350 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43209

Delphos Parks donates to Kiwanis Shelter House Project

Delphos Parks recently made a donation to the Kiwanis Club of Delphos Shelter House Project. Presenting the check to Kiwanis President Carl Weber, second from left, is Jean Weber, left, Dan Grothouse and Barb Kline of Delphos Parks. The new 3,440 square foot shelter house will be built on the east side of the tennis courts near North Street. The existing structure, which has been in place for many years and in need of extensive work will be removed. The new shelter house will have a complete kitchen, restrooms and indoor seating for 128 and outdoor seating for 48. Heating and cooling will allow the shelter house to be available for rent from the city year round. The Kiwanis currently have around $200,000 raised of its $480,000 goal for the new shelterhouse. 24 Fort Fes Preview

Every third weekend in August, the rural community of Fort Jennings, Ohio swells from a population of 500 to several thousand people who gather to celebrate our military history and our veterans. This three day event features unique exhibits from all over the United States This year’s feature display will be the GoldStars Tribute Wall TM. This traveling monument is dedicated to remembering the sacrifice of our fallen Veterans. On this wall, you will find seven-thousand stars, each with an individual name, each representing those who were killed while serving in Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
