Lovina, family celebrate anniversary and birthdays

We are in the middle of August already. Happy ninth anniversary (on August 14) to daughter Elizabeth and Tim. May they have many more happy, healthy years together. God has blessed them with four sweet children: Abigail, 7, Timothy (T.J.), 5, Allison, 4, and Andrea, 2.

Land Lease Termination Dates

This article is a reminder for those with farmland leases that Sept. 1 is just around the corner. Many acres of land in Putnam County are leased each year to grow a variety of crops. If you are involved in a lease agreement, does your document have an established date or method for termination? If your answer is “no”, then be advised that Ohio law requires landlords who want to terminate farm crop leases to do so in writing by Sept. 1.

Airport runway expansion moving forward

VAN WERT—The Van Wert County Regional Airport is closer to expanding its runway to 5,000 feet. At the Airport Board’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 13, Jason Clearwaters, Aviation Development Director for BF&S Civil Engineers out of Indianapolis, updated the board on recent developments in the years-long effort.
