Ohio minimum wage set to Increase in 2025
COLUMBUS — Ohio’s minimum wage is scheduled to increase Jan. 1, 2025, to $10.70 per hour for nontipped employees and $5.35 per hour for tipped employees.

VAN WERT — The Van Wert County Humane Society’s second annual Bag Bingo fundraiser will take place on Oct. 12 at the Van Wert County Jr. Fair Building. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and bingo will begin at 10 a.m.
INFORMATION SUBMITTED DELPHOS — On Sept.15, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the driver commit a traffic offense. During the traffic stop, officers found probable cause to arrest the driver, 47-year-old Margarito Alvarez Espinoza of Delphos, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
VAN WERT—Murder suspect Ryan Houser made an appearance in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court Monday morning. Houser is charged with Aggravated Murder, Murder, Tampering with Evidence, and Having Weapons Under Disability in connection with the September 4, 2023 death of Barbara Ganger.

AMANDA TOWNSHIOP – A 3-year-old was pronounced dead following a car fire in Amanda Township. According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
LIMA — The following is the weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on state highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 for 2024. Allen and Putnam counties State Route 12, State Route 115, and State Route 613 in Putnam, Allen, and Hancock counties at the following locations will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for resurfacing.
