DELPHOS — Jefferson’s boys basketball team used a strong start Saturday afternoon and went on to dominate Waynesfield-Goshen 74-45 in non-conference action on “The Stage” of Jefferson Middle School.
MIDDLE POINT — St. John’s continued its dominant season Saturday night, rolling to a commanding 74-45 non-conference win at Lincolnview. The victory improved the Blue Jays to 16-1, while the Lancers dropped to 5-13.
FORT JENNINGS — The Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (9-10) extended their winning streak to three games with a 43-26 road victory over the Fort Jennings Lady Musketeers (7-13) in a non-conference matchup Saturday afternoon at “The Fort.” The game provided both teams a final test ahead of tournament seeding, set for Sunday.

KALIDA — With the game on the line, Ashton Miller delivered in dramatic fashion, sinking a driving, off-balance shot with five seconds remaining to propel the Ottoville Big Green (13-6) to a thrilling 36-34 road victory over the Kalida Wildcats (10-8) in a tightly contested Putnam County League (PCL) battle Friday night.
MILLER CITY — The Fort Jennings Musketeers (13-5) kept their momentum rolling on Friday night, earning a hard-fought 54-52 road victory over the Miller City Wildcats (14-4) in a key Putnam County League (PCL) showdown.
VERSAILLES — Following a tough loss to Spencerville last Saturday, the St. John’s Blue Jays (15-1) bounced back in commanding fashion on Friday night. They traveled to face the Versailles Tigers (14-4) in a Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) matchup, rolling to an emphatic 81-46 victory.
The MAC/WBL Spring Football Showcase is scheduled to be held at Wapakoneta’s Harmon Field on May 12th.
