LARRY ALAN BAKER

VENICE, Florida — Larry Alan Baker of Venice, Florida, formerly of Delphos, Ohio, passed away on January 12, 2025 at Hospice House of Sarasota. Larry was born September 29th 1947 to Mae and Waldo Baker who preceded him in death.

Larry was a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School with the class of 1965. He attended Purdue University obtaining a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering and later a Masters degree in Industrial Management.

Larry spent four years with the US Navy reaching the rank of Lieutenant JG while doing two tours of Vietnam. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association in Venice, Florida.

Larry spent his career at Ashland Chemical traveling the world and the building the Composite Polymers Division.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sherry of Venice, Florida as well as Sherry’s family.

Funeral Services are being conducted by Farley Funeral Home, Venice, Florida with burial at Sarasota National Cemetery.
