JAMES HODGSON, JR.

 James Hodgson, Jr. ‘Jim’ age 78 of Delphos, passed September 25, 2025, at the James Cancer Center, Columbus, surrounded by his loving family.
 He was born in Lima on January 20, 1947, to James Hodgson, Sr. and Alice (Stuttler), who both preceded him in death. On February 6, 1970, he married Patty S. (Binnion), who passed away on October 16, 2020.
 Jim is survived by his daughters, Kris Briggs of Bluffton, and Lori (Dave) Ellis of Arlington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Arnold, Mike Dailey, Kyle Ellis, Kevin Ellis, and Ashley Blackburn; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. His siblings are Susan (Don) Brinkman, Harold (Robin) Hodgson, and Stephan (Mary) Hodgson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maralee (Danny) Hicks.
 Jim proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked for over 40 years at Trim Trends in Spencerville. He enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, and eating good food. He enjoyed playing ping pong and cards with his family and friends, and also online. His favorite teams were the Browns and Ohio State. He loved his dog, Griffin, and truly loved his family. He chose Kris and Lori to be his daughters at a very young age and adopted them to be his own. He loved them and they loved him; he will be greatly missed by all.
 It was Jim’s request to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to a Humane Society in his memory. Weber Funeral was entrusted to care for Jim. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
