Caden Wright is a graduate from St. John’s and is the son of Dave and Jenny Wright of rural Delphos.His SAE projects have consisted of a seven Hereford cow/calf operation, has raised 10 steers for exhibition at various jackpot shows and the Allen County fair.On a daily basis he cares for the livestock by feeding, checking herd health, manure management, grooming, and preparing animals for show.He has garnered numerous awards showing cattle over the years including: Reserve Champion Simmental Steer at the Ohio State Fair, 3rd and 5th overall at the Allen County Fair, along with winning all age divisions in showmanship and skillathon contests.Caden also has worked over 500 hours for Jones Show cattle helping prepare for the fall heifer sale.He has completed over 75 hours of community service and was a member of the food for America committee.He served as the FFA chapter Vice President.He has participated on the Greenhand quiz team, Parliamentary Procedure team, and livestock judging career development events.He has attended the State & National Convention and Ohio State Leadership night conference.He also has participated in Food for America, Canal Days, Fruit Sales and the FFA member auction. Throughout high school he has been a member of mission society, liturgy team, and the varsity golf team.He was awarded the Star Greenahnd award.Caden is currently working for Proctor and Gamble as a technician and also the family farm with plans to expand the breeding cattle herd.
