VAN WERT — David A. Wood, known to many as Hillbilly or Hilljack, passed away peacefully at his home in Van Wert on Jan. 28, 2025, at the age of 58.

Born on Sept. 25, 1966, in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Ralph Wood and Sophie Brown, who have both passed before him.

On Feb. 25, 2006, he married Connie Rolsten, who survives in Van Wert.

David is survived by his loving wife Connie; his brother Jeff (Kim) Wood from Georgia; and Julie Brown from Evansville, Indiana.

He was also preceded in death by a sister. 

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home.
