DELPHOS – Daniel B. Calvelage, 69, of Delphos, passed away 1:06 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Kindred Hospital, Lima, Ohio.

He was born Jan. 20, 1956, in Lima to Wilfred G. and Elda M. (Falke) Calvelage, who both preceded him in death. On Aug. 29, 2009, he married Linda M. (Schroeder) Calvelage, who survives in Delphos. 

Dan is also survived by his in-laws: Stephen (Jane) Schroeder and Michael (Sue) Schroeder, both of Findlay, Charlie (Natalie) Schroeder of Cape Coral, Florida, and Karen (Doug) Schroeder of Ottawa. 

Dan was a 1974 graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. He worked for 16 years at The New Delphos Manufacturing Plant in Delphos. After their closing, he then worked at the Federal Mogul Corp – National Seal facility in Van Wert for over 22 years. Upon retirement, he and Linda traveled all over the USA, Canada and Ireland. He was a member of Delphos St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in St John Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home, Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
