COLUMBUS GROVE — It was a strong showing for St. John’s cross country on Saturday, as both the Blue Jays boys and girls teams earned trips to the regional meet with standout performances at the Division IV District Championships. Ottoville’s Riley Kemper also secured his spot in the regional field after a strong individual run.


FORT LORAMIE — The Jefferson Wildcats (1-8) hit the road Friday night to face the Fort Loramie Redskins (2-7) in Northwest Conference (NWC) action. Both teams entered with one win on the season, but it was Fort Loramie who controlled the game from start to finish, earning a 40-0 shutout victory.

DELPHOS — Friday night was a big one for St. John’s football. Ten minutes prior to the game the football arrived via a team of four sky divers, after the game, the fans were treated to a fireworks spectacular, and in between, the Blue Jays scored 48 points en route to a 48-13 victory.

ST. HENRY — The Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (4-19) saw their season come to an end Thursday night, falling to the top-seeded St. Henry Lady Redskins (18-5) in straight sets 25-10, 25-2 and 25-9 in a Division VI Sectional Final.

KALIDA — The fifth-seeded St. John’s Lady Jays (5-17) took on the sixth-seeded Continental Lady Pirates (11-12) Wednesday night on the Richard L. Kortokrax Court of Kalida High School in Division VII volleyball action.
