KALIDA — In a highly anticipated district final showdown on Saturday, the #1 seeded Ottoville Big Green (16-3-1) triumphed over the #2 seeded Kalida Wildcats (11-6-3) with a score of 2-0, securing their place in regionals for the fourth consecutive year. Garrett Trentman opened the scoring with a penalty kick, followed by Brandon Calvelage’s free kick that sealed the victory.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — The New Knoxville Lady Rangers volleyballers advanced by sweeping St. John’s 25-16, 25-19, 25-20 in Division VII District-final action Wednesday evening at Shawnee High School’s Lappin Gymnasium.

KALIDA — The #1-seeded Ottoville Big Green (15-3-1) advanced to the district finals with a dominant 2-0 victory over the #3-seeded Continental Pirates (9-82) on Wednesday night at Kalida in district semifinal action.

TIFFIN — The outstanding season for the St. John’s girls cross country team came to an end at the Division III Tiffin Regionals on Saturday morning, where they competed for a chance to advance to the state meet.

OTTOVILLE — The #2 seeded Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (10-8) faced cross-town rival, #3 seeded St. John’s (9-9), on Monday night at Bob Kaple Track and Field Stadium in an intense district semifinal showdown.

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Ottoville and St. John’s boys and girls cross country teams showcased their talents at the Division III District Championships on Saturday morning in Columbus Grove.
