NEW BREMEN — The St. John’s Lady Jays (5-14) faced off against the #1 ranked New Bremen Lady Cardinals (18-2) Thursday night in a Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) showdown, but the Lady Cardinals’ depth and firepower proved too much, earning a 25-17, 25-14 and 25-12 sweep.

DELPHOS — The Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (5-9-1) played host to the Miller City Lady ‘Cats (10-3-2) at Champions Field on Thursday evening in a spirited non-conference matchup that also served as senior night for Jefferson.

SPENCERVILLE — For more than 70 minutes, the scoreboard at Spencerville stayed locked at 0-0 as the Lady Bearcats (5-7-3) and Fort Jennings Lady Musketeers (4-10-1) battled through a defensive struggle Thursday night. But with 8:33 left on the clock, the breakthrough came for Spencerville.

BOWLING GREEN — It was a banner day for local golf at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Thursday, as St. John’s earned district runner-up honors to clinch a team berth to the Division III State Championships, while Ottoville’s Evan Altenburger joined the state field as an individual qualifier.
