Marcia (Waymire) Elston, 90 of Middle Point, OH, died at 9:20 am, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Van Wert Manor. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother who lived a life filled with love, resilience, and creativity.

Robert P. “Bob” Bendele, 87, of Ottoville, passed away at 9:07 p.m.

Sharon Gene Fortener, 81, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, peacefully at her home in Delphos, Ohio. She was born May 24th, 1943 to the late Gene and Dorothy Buettner.

Janice Mae Sodders, 95, of Elida, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at Vancrest of Delphos. She was born June 26, 1929, in Newark to Orus and Marie (White) Helser, who both preceded her in death.

ANNABELLE MARGARET (ERNST) SAUM Annabelle Margaret (Ernst) Saum, 95, of Ft. Jennings, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Meadows of Delphos.

Lillyanna Stemen, 2, of Lima, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born October 13, 2021, in Lima, to Nicholas Stemen and Sarah Vogt.

Ronald Leo Pothast, 87, of Delphos, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at VanCrest of Delphos. He was born April 9, 1937, in Lima to the late Cornelius ‘Nick’ and Mildred (Pohlman) Pothast.

C. Dean Noffsinger, age 98, of Elida, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at The Meadows of Delphos. He was born April 21, 1926, in Paulding to the late Jason and Ethel (Marlow) Noffsinger. On May 13, 1961, he married Betty M. (Widmark) Noffsinger who preceded him in death on November 1, 2018. He is survived by a daughter, Colleen (Doug) Harter of Delphos; four grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Cover of Powell, OH, Jennifer (Aaron) Hallard of Bloomington, IN, Greg (Donna) Allen of Laguna Beach, California and Mindy (Rob) Gillen of Lima; 8 great-grandchildren, Julianna Cover, Dylan Cover, Lily Hallard, Audrey Hallard, Lauren Allen, Kate Allen, Bailey Gillen and Savannah Gillen. He was also preceded in death by a son, Neil Scott Noffsinger; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamala( Gary) Allen; brothers, Raymond Noffsinger, Joe Stouffer, and John Stouffer. Dean was a retired rural letter carrier for the US Post Office in Elida. He was the owner of D& J Shooters Supply, Elida. He was a Sergeant of the 55th Fighter Group of the 334th Fighter Squadron in the US Air Force serving from August 1944 until August 1946. Dean was a life member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Dayton, and a life member of Delphos VFW Post 3035. He was also a member of The Delphos Club, Ft. Amanda Masonic Lodge #706 of Lima, Zenobia Shrine of Dayton, National Rural Carriers Association, Life Member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association and Okaboji Indians Trap Shooters Association. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St. the Rev. Rich Rakay officiating.
