ST. HENRY — A dramatic late push in the seventh inning wasn’t quite enough for the Jefferson Lady ’Cats (14-10), as they dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker to St. Henry (9-12) in Thursday’s Division VI Sectional Final.
MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview’s baseball team secured its fifth consecutive outright Northwest Conference (NWC) championship with an 11-1, six-inning victory over visiting Jefferson on Thursday evening at Lincolnview High School.

VAN WERT—Ryan Acosta of Delphos was sentenced on Thursday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court to 4-6 years in prison after a jury found him guilty on April 1 of Endangering Children, a second-degree felony, and Endangering Children, a first-degree misdemeanor.
MIDDLE POINT — The Lincolnview Lady Lancers (18-3) took care of business Thursday evening with a win over the Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (13-9), locking up the NWC title outright on their home field.
CONVOY — The Jefferson Lady ‘Cats (13-6) traveled to Crestview High School on Thursday evening for a key Northwest Conference (NWC) matchup against the Lady Knights (7-12). Behind a three-hit performance from Carolyn Mueller, the Lady ‘Cats earned a 9-5 victory to avenge last season’s loss.
DELPHOS — Delphos Senior Citizens, Inc. was established in April 1975 under the sponsorship of the Delphos Ministerial Association. Meetings were initially held at the American Legion Hall. Incorporation papers were filed in July 1975 and Bob’s Grocery Store and the Grubenhoff home were purchased. Shortly thereafter, the group realized that there was a need for services for the elderly residents beyond socialization.
FINDLAY — Former Jefferson star Lyv Lindeman recently announced that she will transfer to the University of Findlay to continue her athletic and academic career after entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month.
