Seniors of learn of Grief Share program

Kathy Ulm, RN, and program director for Grief Share in Delphos, spoke at Delphos Senior Citizens Good to Know Lunch & Go in August. The worldwide Grief Share program came to Delphos last year, sponsored by Delphos St. John’s Church, and is open to people of all faiths who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Venedocia Lions sausage at Fair 2024

INFORMATION SUBMITTED VAN WERT — The Venedocia Lions Club will once again be serving their sausage sandwiches before and during the official dates of the 2024 Van Wert County Fair. The Lions Club trailer, located at the northwest corner of the Junior Fair Building, will be open from 11am to 8:30pm on Monday, August 26 for lunch during booth/stand set-up and remain open through the afternoon and part of the evening.

Delphos Parks donates to Kiwanis Shelter House Project

Delphos Parks recently made a donation to the Kiwanis Club of Delphos Shelter House Project. Presenting the check to Kiwanis President Carl Weber, second from left, is Jean Weber, left, Dan Grothouse and Barb Kline of Delphos Parks. The new 3,440 square foot shelter house will be built on the east side of the tennis courts near North Street. The existing structure, which has been in place for many years and in need of extensive work will be removed. The new shelter house will have a complete kitchen, restrooms and indoor seating for 128 and outdoor seating for 48. Heating and cooling will allow the shelter house to be available for rent from the city year round. The Kiwanis currently have around $200,000 raised of its $480,000 goal for the new shelterhouse.
