DELPHOS — Our Red, White and Blue Celebration will be Friday, July 25 in the large shelter house at Waterworks Park! We’ll have a golf cart to shuttle you from our West Parking Lot to the shelter house. Hamburgers on the grill, featuring “Rode burgers”, will be served with all the fixins’, as well as potato salad, watermelon and dessert at 11:30 am. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased by July 16. Marie Walton from Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will present “Terrific Turtles” at 1 pm. Lovina is taking this week off from the column to rest up after her busy week hosting Verena and Daniel Ray’s wedding. I am her “English” friend Ruth, and I helped Lovina last week by running errands and was able to attend the wedding so I will share a little about that.
