ROSEMARY C. WITTLER

Rosemary C. “Rosie” Wittler, 97 of Fort Jennings, died at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Vancrest of Delphos. She was born November 18, 1926, in Ottoville to the late August and Eleanor (Bruskotter) Becker.

On June 29, 1946, she married Leander Wittler. He died on March 2, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Allen “Doc” Wittler; and two sisters: Ruth Gerdeman and Marilyn Woods.

Survivors include five children: Kathy (Ed) Kimmet of Ft. Wayne, IN, Pat (Dan) Beckman of Beavercreek, Dean (Diane) Wittler of Fort Jennings, Becky Murray of Delphos, and Neil (Ann) Wittler of Fort Jennings; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and three sisters: Helen Bonifas, Jane Kimmet and Martha Etzkorn of Delphos.

Rosemary retired from Drapery Stitch in Delphos as a seamstress and volunteered at the thrift store in Delphos. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council 88, and American Legion Auxiliary 715. Rosemary loved going to all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, watching the Cleveland Indians, and playing cards.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Vancrest of Delphos for their wonderful care of mom.

Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at LOVEHEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township, and one hour prior to the mass on Thursday at the church. A scripture service will begin at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
