DELPHOS — Robert Lause, 82, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at his residence. 

Robert was born on June 27, 1942, in Delphos to Leonard and Rovena (Ardner) Lause, who preceded him in death.  On Sept. 11, 1965, he married Linda (Kious) Lause, who survives in Delphos.

He is also survived by sons, Todd (Teresa) Lause and John (Jan) Lause; a sister, Jan Wessell; four grandchildren, Dylon (Samantha) Lause, Austin (Micah) Lause, Seth (Stephanie) Lause, and Kyli (Austin) Perry; and three great-grandchildren. 

He is also preceded in death by brother-in-laws, Jerry Wessell, and Arch Kious; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Sherwood.   

Mr. Lause was a 1960 graduate of St. John’s Catholic School. He retired from AEP as a breaker specialist/supervisor after 37 years in 2000. He enjoyed playing golf, working in his shop and helping other people on their projects. Mr. Lause was also a member of the Delphos Knight of Columbus. Mr. Lause also served in the Army Reserves from 1964-1970; he was also part of the Honor Flight in 2021. 

The family will receive friends from 3- 6 p.m. on Friday, May 30 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima.  A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Food Pantry.
