DELPHOS – Norma Jean Anspach, 94, of Delphos, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 13, 2025 at The Meadows of Delphos surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Pandora to Harry Noble Van Scoder and Caroline T. Schumacker, who preceded her in death. On May 22, 1948, she married Donovan Anspach, who preceded her in death January 1, 1986.
Norma Jean is survived by two sons, Robert E. (Cynthia) Anspach of Kalida and Donovan G. (Megan) Anspach of Delphos; three daughters, Karen (Dennis) Patterson of Ft. Wayne and Diane Roeder and Ruth (Chuck) Verhoff of Delphos; a son-in-law, Al Haunhorst of Lima; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, with one on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly J. Haunhorst; three sisters; one brother; and a son-in-law, Ronald Roeder II.
Norma Jean spent time crocheting and gardening flowers. She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and eating out with family and friends.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Dr. David A. Baillie will be officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
