OTTOVILLE — A 20-9 edge in Friday night’s third period propelled Ottoville by Jefferson 58-44 in non-league boys basketball action at L.W. Heckman Gymnasium.

Kalida earns road win over Musketeers in PCL matchup
FORT JENNINGS — The Kalida Wildcats (7-6) secured a key Putnam County League (PCL) victory on Friday night, defeating the Fort Jennings Musketeers (7-5) at “The Fort,” 47-37. Kalida rode a dominant first half, building a strong lead behind Jacob Siebeneck’s 17-point performance.

Waldick designated presiding judge of Third District Court of Appeals
LIMA â Juergen A. Waldick, Judge of the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals has been designated as presiding judge of the court for 2025. In this capacity, Judge Waldick calls and presides over oral arguments presented by the parties to a case, decides procedural motions, conducts meetings of the judges to discuss and resolve any administrative matters, and is responsible for the daily administration, docket and case management of the court among other duties.

Central Ins. reorganizes into mutual holding company structure
VAN WERT â Central Insurance, a leading property and casualty mutual insurance company, and its affiliates have reorganized under Ohio law into a mutual holding company structure, effective January 1, 2025. The reorganization created a new mutual holding company, Central Mutual Holding Company (CMHC), that directly or indirectly owns all of the Central Insurance affiliates.
