Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Grothouse

Deborah Diane Boratko and Anthony David Grothouse were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 13 at The Calvary Church in Lima, Rev. Randy Boratko officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Diane and Randy Boratko of Delphos. The groom is the son of Deborah and Scott Grothouse of Fort Jennings.

Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Lindsay and Lauren Grothouse, Erica Jones and Matthew Grothouse; organist Karlyn Lauer; and pianist Trevor Kroeger.

Matron of honor was Nicole Tobe of Delphos, cousin of the bride.

Bridesmaids included Sarah Boratko, Rebekah Stemen and Rachel Graham of Delphos, sisters of the bride; Meagan Grothouse of Delphos, sister of the groom; and Erica Jones, Whitney Garza, Alicia Hines, Jessica Miller, Bristin Mericle, Holly Wisher and Danielle Brotherwood of Delphos, friends of the bride.

Olivia Graham and Jeweliette Stemen, nieces of the bride, and Leah Wood, niece of the groom, were flower girls.

Ring bearer was Aidan Graham of Delphos, nephew of the bride.

Junior groom was Aidan Grothouse of Fort Jennings, nephew of the groom.

Mini-groom was Jude Stemen of Delphos, nephew of the bride.

Matthew Grothouse of Fort Jennings brother of the groom; and Daryl Schroeder of Fort Jennings, friend of the groom, were best men.

Ushers were Zach Stemen of Delphos and Mike Graham of Spencerville, brothers-in-law of the bride; and Mark Boehmer, Jesse Ricker, Mark Kunz, Sam Young and Scott Gasser of Fort Jennings and Todd Schumaker, Chad Bruskotter and Jay Siefker of Ottawa, friends of the groom.

Grandparents of the bride are Irene Blockberger and the late Roland Blockberger and the late Rudolph and Vinnerina Boratko. Grandparents of the groom are Shirley and Jack Berelsman, Alice Grothouse and the late Beeze Grothouse.

A reception was held at the Fort Jennings American Legion following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Grot-Islet, Saint Lucia, the couple resides in Powell.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Fort Jennings High School, a 2006 graduate of The Ohio State University and a 2008 graduate of Xavier University.

Joseph Burgei of Elida and Shirley Burgei of Delphos announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Marie, to Kevin Michael Moore, son of Rick and Elaine Moore of Delphos.

The couple will exchange vows on Jan. 14.

The bride elect is a 2000 graduate of St. John’s High School. She is employed at Harter and Schier Funeral Home.

Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Jefferson High School. He is owner and operator of Moore Tree Service.

Donna and Gary Maas of Delphos, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Marie, to Kyle Truman, son of Roseanne and William Truman of Delphos.

The couple will exchange vows on April 28.

The bride elect is a graduate of James A. Rhodes State College and is employed as a certified occupational therapy assistant.

Her fiance is a graduate of Vantage Career Center and is employed by E&R Trailer Sales and Service.

Doug and Tina Chandler of Fort Jennings announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea, to LCpl Kyle A. Recker, son of Tony and Kelly Recker of Fort Jennings.

The couple will exchange vows on Dec. 10 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Fort Jennings High School and is attending Rhodes State College.

Her fiance is a graduate of Fort Jennings High School and currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.

Nikki Becker and Ned Bockrath exchanged marriage vows on July 9 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Matron of honor was Kylie Becker of Delphos, sister-in-law of the bride.

Bridesmaids included Brittany Bockrath of Kalida, sister of the groom; and Melissa Odenweller of West Virginia, Sara Goecke of Spencerville, Audra Miller of Delphos and Stephanie Karhoff of Columbus Grove, friends of the couple.

Eleanor Becker of Delphos, goddaughter of the bride, was flower girl.

Best man was Brent Brockrath of Kalida, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Ben Bockrath of New York, brother of the groom; Ben Becker and Andy Becker of Delphos, brothers of the bride; and Travis Verhoff, Jody Selhorst and Michael Killion of Kalida and Mark Dickman of Columbus, friends of the couple.

Grandparents of the bride include Lucille Becker; grandparents of the groom include Ralph and Dolores Verhoff.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Kalida K of C hall.

Following a wedding trip to Hocking Hills, the couple resides in Kalida.

The bride is a graduate of St. John’s High School and The Ohio State University. She is a first-grade teacher at Ottawa Elementary. The groom is a graduate of St. John’s High School and Kent State University. He is employed at INEOS Chemicals.
