Pastor Dan and Janie Eaton of Delphos First Assembly of God enjoyed their 45th wedding anniversary on Nov. 25.

They celebrated the special occasion by spending it with their family, their church family, and a getaway at The Victorian Lady, a bed and breakfast located in Norwalk.

They are the parents of three children, Michael Eaton of St. Marys, John (Hope) Eaton of Fort Wayne and Chrissy (and Brian) Latstetter of Flushing, Mich.

They also have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Backus will celebrate 25 years of marriage on Dec. 12.

The couple will celebrate in church and with a dinner.

Gary and the former Nettie Duncan were united in marriage on Dec. 12, 1987 at Trinity United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Hoover officiating.

They are the parents of 10 children, Michelle Stuber of Lima, Jeremy Backus of Delphos, Laura Lytle of Rowesville, S.C., Gayle Proctor of Lorain, Regina Banbury of Delphos, Delta Gunter of Rochester, N.Y., Michael Gunter of Georgia, Jeffery Wendall and Tina Jones of Lorain and Joyce Mashburn of Florida.

They also have 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Gary is retired from the Lima Ford Engine Plant. Nettie is a homemaker.

Stephen and Lisa Recker of Delphos announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill, to Joel Denton, son of David and Gail Denton of Granville.

The couple will exchange vows on Dec. 15 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. John’s High School and The Ohio State University. She is employed by The Buckeye Ranch in Grove City.

Her fiance is a graduate of Granville High School and Wabash College. He is employed by Emergitech, Inc., in Columbus.

Kylee Marie Heyne and Andrew Michael Klausing were united in marriage on May 5, 2012, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Melvin Verhoff officiating.

The bride’s parents are Dave and Linda Vogel of St. Marys and Gary Heyne of Celina. The groom’s parents are Mike and Karen Klausing of Delphos.

Nuptial music was provided by pianist Deb Goettemoeller, vocalist Erica Gelhaus and trumpeter David Stearns.

Maid of honor was Rachel Platfoot of Coldwater, future sister-in-law.

Bridesmaids were Kristin Klausing of Delphos, sister of the groom; Courtney Klausing of Spencerville, sister-in-law of the couple; Jenny McElroy of Fort Jennings, friend of the couple; Andrea Dietz of Miamisburg, friend of the couple; Lindsay Schwieterman of St. Henry, friend of the couple; Erin Kleinhenz of Columbus, friend of the couple; Amanda Alig of Coldwater, friend of the couple.

Flower girl was Grace Heyne, niece of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Macy Vogel, sister of the bride. Ring bearer was Owen McElroy, friend of the couple.

Best man was Aaron Klausing of Spencerville, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Ben Heyne of Coldwater, brother of the bride; Cody Vogel of St. Mary’s, brother of the bride; and Josh McElroy of Fort Jennings, Scott Osburn, Adam Rostorfer and Trevor Bonifas of Dublin and Kyle Wright of Bellefontaine, friends of the couple.

Grandparents of the bride are Ivo and Betty Homan of St. Henry, Nancy and Fritz Vogel of St. Marys, Marilyn Heyne of Coldwater and Ralph Heyne of Celina.

Grandparents of the groom are Virginia Gunter of Delphos and the late William Gunter Sr. and Joann Klausing of Delphos and the late Don Klausing.

A reception was held at the Grand Plaza in Wapakoneta following the ceremony. After a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, West Indies, the couple resides in Delphos.

The bride is a graduate of Coldwater High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Wright State University. She is employed by Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys as a case manager, and St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima as a registered nurse.

The groom is a graduate of Jefferson High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Findlay. He also obtained his masters of physician assistant studies from the University of Nebraska. He is employed by the Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio as a physician assistant.

Kelsey Ann Jarred and Ryan William Grothouse were united in marriage on Aug. 11, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Chanute, Ks., the Rev. Bernard X. Gorges officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Karen Jarred of Chanute. The groom is the son of Bill and Barb Grothouse of Delphos.

Nuptial music was provided by vocalist Erin Weilert and organist Mike Aylward.

Matron of honor was Janae Maher of Temple, Texas, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids included Aubrey Jarred of New York, sister of the bride; Nikki Conley of Delphos, sister of the groom; Kelly Grothouse of Cincinnati, sister of the groom; Tiffany Hoersten of Charlotte, N.C., friend of the couple; and Traci Hammond of Columbus.

Flower girls were Madilyn Conley of Delphos, niece of the groom; and Delaney Maher of Temple, niece of the bride.

Brayden Conley of Delphos, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Best man was Derek Gerdeman of Elkhorn City, Ky., friend of the couple.

Groomsmen included Ryan Maher of Temple, brother-in-law of the bride; Ryan Conley of Delphos, brother-in-law of the groom; Bryan Hoersten of Charlotte, friend of the couple; Jonathon Reinhart of Dayton, friend of the couple; and Nick Miller of Ottoville, friend of the couple.

Grandparents of the bride are Jack and Anna Mae Works and Dorrall and Vaughn DeLee Jarred. Grandparents of the groom are Bob and Alma Good and Bob and Luella Grothouse.

A reception was held at Lil’ Toledo Lodge in Chanute. Following a wedding trip to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Taylorsville, Ky.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Dayton and a student at the University of Louisville School of Nursing. The groom is a graduate of the University of Dayton and is employed at General Electric in Louisville.
