On July 18, officers were dispatched to an ungovernable/missing juvenile. Officers responded and within minutes located the juvenile and transported him to his residence. No charges will be filed.

On July 18, officers responded to the area of North Canal and West Fourth streets to locate a vehicle being operated recklessly. Officers responded and spoke with witnesses who advised where the car was going. Officers proceeded to that location where they made contact with the vehicle owner. After investigating the incident, it was found that the male was having a medical condition and was transported to the hospital.

On July 11, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Main Street to investigate a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, officers met with the male and received his version of the incident. Moments later, officers met with the female at the police department. After speaking with both parties, it was found that the male, 30-year-old David Brincefield of Delphos, had caused physical harm to a family or household member. He was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Allen County Jail. Due to a prior a domestic violence conviction, Brincefield faces a fourth-degree felony charge.

On July 12, officers responded to the 600 block of South Clay Street after receiving a complaint of a missing vehicle. Officers arrived and spoke with a male at that residence who told officers his mother’s vehicle was missing along with his 16-year-old son.

On July 9, officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Elida Avenue to investigate a theft incident.

Officers met with the store manager who stated a female inside the business left without paying for items. Officers then located the female and found the stolen merchandise.

The female will be issued a criminal trespass notice banning her from the business. Charges are currently pending for theft.

On July 10, officers took a report from a male in the 200 block of North Cass Street.

The man stated that someone had entered his vehicle and stole multiple items. The incident remains under investigation.

On July 10, officers responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street to investigate a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, officers met with a male and female. After speaking with both of them, it was found that neither person was assaulted and neither wished to leave the residence. Officers left after advising them to separate for the night.

DELPHOS — A driver failed to stop at a red light and hit a vehicle traveling through the intersection at 12:49 p.m. Friday.

Rita Wannemacher, 80, of Delphos was traveling west on East First Street and was traveling through the intersection of East First and North Main streets on a green light when Heather Keller, 36, of Delphos failed to stop at the red light while traveling south on North Main Street. Keller struck Wannemacher’s vehicle in the front right side.
