Anya Cara of Columbus and Thomas Heilman of Logan announce the engagement of their daughter, Savannah Heilman, to Jonathan Correll, son of Janet and Mark Correll of Delphos.
The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Columbus.
The bride-elect received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in 2007 and her master’s from Ohio State University in 2009. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in higher education and student affairs at Ohio State, where she is employed as the study abroad coordinator.
Her fiance received his bachelor’s degree (BFA) from Columbus College of Art and Design in 2007. He is employed as art director at Ryan Partnership in Columbus.

John and Janice Freund of Fort Jennings will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house for friends and family from 3-7 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the couple’s home at 16451 St. Rt. 190. Cards only, no gifts.
They were married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Aug. 5, 1962, at Delphos Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dan Yocum.
They have a daughter, Deb (Mike) Tenwalde of Fort Jennings; and a son, David (Kelly) Freund, of Fort Jennings. They also have 8 grandchildren, Adam, Anna, Aaron and Angela Tenwalde, and Kiersten, Eli, Emily and Elizabeth Freund.

Mr. and Mrs. John Birkmeier of Delphos will celebrate 40 years of marriage on Aug. 4.
A celebratory trip to Gulf Shores is planned for this fall.
John and the former Charlotte Fronk were united in marriage on Aug. 4, 1972, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos.
They have three children, Kelly Garmatter of Columbus Grove, Jason (Leslie) Birkmeier of Elida and Brian Birkmeier of Rawson; and six grandchildren, Klarissa, Kalyn, Karsyn and Cade Garmatter and Easton and Ella Birkmeier.
Mr. Birkmeier is retired from General Dynamics and his wife is employed at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Kelly Marie Looser and Tyler James Banachowski were united in marriage in a garden ceremony on June 16, 2012, at the Oldest House, Key West, Florida, Geri LaGotta officiating.
The bride’s parents are Robert and Christine Looser of Delphos. The groom’s parents are James and Tamra Banachowski of Sylvania, Ohio.
Maid of honor was Stacy Looser of Delphos, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Megan Fritz of Delphos, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Chase Banachowski, of Columbus, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Shane Banachowski of Sylvania, brother of the groom and Darren Looser of St. Petersburg, Florida, brother of the bride.
The bride’s grandparents are Bill and Lillian Looser, Rose Reeder and the late Clark Reeder.
The groom’s grandparents are Lloyd and Judith Otto, Nancy Banachowski and the late Chester Banachowski.
An outdoor reception was held immediately following the evening ceremony at the Oldest House Garden of Key West.
Following a wedding trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico the couple will live in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.
The bride is a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School and Bowling Green State University. She had been the Events Director at Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The groom is a graduate of Sylvania Northview, University of Toledo and the University of North Carolina, earning a doctorate in dental surgery. He is a Captain in the U.S. Air Force currently assigned to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida before reporting to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas to begin oral and maxillofacial surgery residency.

Randy and Deanna Harrison of Arcanum announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Lynn, to Brian Joseph Pohlman, son of Charles and Janice Pohlman of Delphos.
The couple will exchange vows this summer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Greenville High School, received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Otterbein College and her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. She is currently an attorney with Goubeaux & Brand in Greenville.
Her fiancé is a graduate of St. John’s High School, received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture education from The Ohio State University and his master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Dayton. He is employed by Miami Valley CTC as the satellite agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor at Tri-Village High School in New Madison.
