Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murphy, of Fort Wayne, Ind., celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 27 with a family cruise to the Caribbean in January.
Charles and the former Teresa Kramer were united in marriage on April 27, 1963, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kalida, by Monsignor Matthew Clancy.
They have one daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Polhamus of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Chris, Sara and Brian Polhamus of Fort Wayne.
Mr. Murphy was a teacher at Fort Jennings Schools and is now retired. His wife is retired from Van Wert County Hospital and Raabe Ford, where she worked in Human Resources.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hilvers of Delphos celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 18, 2013.
A family dinner was held on April 20.
Hilvers and the former Irma Haunhorst were married April 18, 1953, at St. John the Evangelist Church by the Rev. Albert Ottenweller.
They are the parents of Kathy (Denny) Hageman, Sue (Bob) Jettinghoff and Jan Hilvers. They also have five grandchildren.
Hilvers is retired from Trim Trend. His wife is retired from Sprint.

Jay and Laura Ulm of Delphos announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Rae, to Aaron Joseph Etzkorn, son of Ron and Sherry Etzkorn of Delphos.
The couple will be united in marriage on April 20 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
The bride-elect is a graduate of St. John’s High School and Bowling Green State University. She is the owner of Ivy Hutch Flowers and Gifts in Delphos.
Her fiance is a graduate of St. John’s High School and Owens Community College. He is employed as a registered nurse at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Pohlman, of Delphos, celebrated 65 years of marriage on April 7, 2013.
Pohlman and the former Margaret Kaverman were married on April 7, 1948, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, the Rev. Carl Reineck officiating.
They are the parents of three sons, Mike (Helen) Pohlman of Spencerville, Charlie (Janice) Pohlman and Paul (Donna) Pohlman of Delphos; and three daughters, Sue (Steve) Sherburne and Mary Pohlman of Fort Wayne and Lois (Jim) Hoersten of Ottoville.
They also have 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pohlman is retired from farming. His wife is a homemaker.

Larry Turnwald and Jane Turnwald, both of Ottoville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Lynn, to Tyler Joseph Hovest, son of Richard and Terry Hovest of Ottawa.
The couple will be united in marriage on Aug. 24 at Ottoville Immaculate Conception Church.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Ottoville High School and obtained a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University. She is employed as a project engineer at Marathon Petroleum Company in Findlay.
Her fiance is a graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School. He is employed with Five Star Ag in Gilboa.
