The following individuals appeared Wednesday before Judge Charles Steele in Van Wert County Court Of Common Pleas:
Arraignment
Klarisa Mendoza, 24, Van Wert, was arraigned for a charge of possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth degree. 
She entered a plea of not guilty and was set for a pretrial hearing on Aug. 22.  Her bond was set at $10,000 cash.
Change Of Plea
Bobbie Spyres, 19, Ohio City, pled guilty to an amended charge of attempted forgery, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
Her case was continued for sentencing Sept. 26.
Sentencings:
Orman Goings II, 26, Paulding, was sentenced for operating a vehicle while under the influence, a felony of the fourth degree. He was sentenced to 3 years community control, up to 6 months in WORTH Center, 30 days jail, 200 hours community service, substance abuse assessment and treatment, 2 years intensive probation, driver’s license suspended for 3 years, fined $1,350 and ordered to pay partial attorney fees and court costs. Twenty-four months prison was deferred pending completion of community control.
