Local veterinarian reaches out with donations to area family shelter

Dr. Bonnie Jones, left, of Delphos Animal Hospital, hands some donated items to Family Promise of Lima/Allen County Director Peggy Adams. The veterinary clinic donated clothes, personal items and more as part of its 25th anniversary community outreach. Family Promise is the only homeless shelter in Lima that takes in families. Adams said the group has a daytime shelter and transports up to three families — or 11 persons — to churches at night.
