OTTOVILLE — School board members cleaned up the books for the 2012 school year on Wednesday. Treasurer Bob Weber went over financials and end-of-year fund balances with Ottoville Board of Education members. “Basically what you seeing in the financials is a lot of money moving around to close out the year’s appropriations and have the accounts match what we actually used,” Weber said. “A lot of times I have to guess what needs to be in an account or what will be brought in and at the end of the year, I have to make adjustments so everything balances.” Weber’s report included an additional $3,530.32 from the state. “I guess they found extra money and split it between all the schools and a little more than $3,000 was our share,” he added. The board approved permanent appropriations of $5,496,241 for FY ’13.
