   Dr. and Mrs. Charles B. Maxwell of Johnsonville, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Butler Maxwell, to Matthew William Knippen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil L. Knippen of Ottoville and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Hickey of Delphos and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Knippen Sr. of Ottoville.

The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 17 at St. Luke’s Chapel in Charleston, S.C. 

The bride-elect is a graduate of Johnsonville High School and Gardner-Webb University and is presently pursuing a Physician Assistant Masters Degree at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Her fiance is a graduate of Ottoville High School and Gardner-Webb University and is presently employed by Vendue Inn in Charleston, S.C.
