Alma Heidlebaugh and Melvin Kloeppel were married on July 9, 1946, at Morris Chapel Methodist Church.

They are the parents of six children, Lois (Meredith) Ewing of Spencerville, Carol Wood of Van Wert, Ken (Suzanne) Kloeppel, Bob (Denise) Kloeppel and Ron (Sue) Kloeppel of Delphos and Janice Kloeppel of Memphis, Tenn. A son-in-law, David Wood, is deceased.

They also have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

Melvin is a retired farmer and Alma is retired from R.G. Dunn in Lima.
