The following individuals appeared Wednesday before Judge Charles Steele in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:   
Richard L. Foley, 80, Van Wert, a former Convoy resident was sent to prison for sixteen months on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony. 
A Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department investigation revealed Foley was involved in sexual conduct with a 13-year-old female during 2010.
Judge Steele also classified Foley as a tier two sex offender meaning that Foley will be required to register as a sex offender with the sheriff department every 180 days for 25 years after release from prison.
Johnny Ray Foust, 49, Delphos, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of burglary, a felony of the fourth degree. 
A Delphos City Police Department investigation revealed Foust allegedly entered a home on West Fourth Street in Delphos during August 2010.
Judge Steele ordered a pre-sentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for 9 a.m. June 29. 
Christine A. Miller, 19, Van Wert, was given two separate prison sentences one for a recent crime and one for a crime that had taken place in 2009 for which she was on community control.
The most recent violation involved a Van Wert City Police Department investigation that involved a theft of a purse from a local church. 
Miller was sentenced to spend six months for the most recent incident which was a charge of receiving stolen property, a felony of the fifth degree; given a nine-month prison sentence for a previous charge of burglary, a felony of the fourth degree; and theft from a disabled person, a felony of the fifth degree. The two sentences will run consecutive to one another.  
Miller was given credit for 167 days jail time she had served awaiting final disposition of the cases. 
Tyann N. Montalvo, 22, Celina, will spend two years in prison on a charge of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for manufacturing drugs, a felony of the third degree. 
Montalvo, along with a Chad Bellis of Portland, Ind., was arrested during the early morning hours of Feb. 28.  
Troopers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol found the semi tractor trailer parked on the road way and in further investigating found the two asleep in the vehicle. Troopers also discovered material for the manufacturing of methamphetamine. 
Montalvo had been originally released on bond from this charge but while out on bond was arrested for a similar offense in Celina. She is presently in jail awaiting charges on that case. 
Judge Steele granted Montalvo credit for 68 days she had served awaiting final disposition of the case. 
Phillip L. Cross, 23, Delphos, admitted to violation of his community control by testing positive for the use of marijuana.
Judge Steele resentenced Cross to three years of community control with the additional condition that he spend 60 days in the Van Wert County Jail.
Zachary E. Miller, 26, Van Wert, was placed on community control for three years on charges of two counts of breaking and entering, felonies of the fifth degree; and one count of theft, a felony of the fifth degree.
