A family celebration will be held at Indian Lake, where the family has spent vacations together in the past.

Jim and the former Margaret Ricker were married on May 19, 1951, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, the Rev. Henry Gerwert officiating.

They are the parents of four children, Carol (Ed) Odenweller of Delphos, Jan (Warren) Almond of Columbus, Joe (Kelly) Schimmoeller of Lima and Bonnie (Bender) Miller of Ottoville. They also have 10 grandchildren, Marie (Ralph) Mertz, Jim (Jessica) Odenweller, Mike (Melissa) Odenweller, Amy (Brandon) Paul, Wes Almond, Erin (Ryan) Van Pelt, Brad (Maureen) Schimmoeller, Tara Schimmoeller, Audrey (Nick) Scarbriel and Austin Miller; and six great-grandchildren, Vincent and Oden Mertz, Pierce Almond, Carter and Holden Van Pelt and Claire Schimmoeller.

Jim retired as service manager at Bindel’s Furniture and Appliances. Margaret is a homemaker and continues to be there to lend a helping hand to anyone she crosses paths with.
