DEAR EDITOR:
I want to compliment the girls basketball team at Jefferson High School on a great run in the tournament this season. It was a lot of fun girls and coaches. 
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all those who supported the team throughout the season and especially on the tournament run. I was so impressed with the support the team received from the student body, parents, the community and other fans.  The student cheering section was just outstanding at each of the games, helping to create a very dynamic atmosphere of support for the team. The parents were tremendous in their commitment to all the girls on the team.
The Delphos community was simply outstanding in backing the team on the tournament trail.  For those of you who attended  games  and  cheered  the  team on and  to the many businesses and local residents who anonymously donated money,  time  and  services  I  want  to  say  thanks  for  the support.  This is all a part of the overall success of any athletic  or  academic  program  and  we  have  two  fine  examples of  this type  of  community  support  in the schools in Delphos. 
Finally,  on  behalf  of  the  students, faculty  and  staff,  and the community I want to say, “Thanks to the girls and coaches for the many memories of this tournament season run.”
