Julia Hemker and Scott Horstman were united in marriage on Oct. 30 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Jacob Gordon officiating. 

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Cathy Hemker of Delphos. The groom is the son of Tony and Judy Horstman of Cloverdale.

Nuptial music was provided by vocalists Chelsea Wellmann and Trevor Kroeger, organist Linda Schmit and trumpeteer Ryan Schmit.

Maid of honor was Annette Bonifas of Columbus, friend of the bride.

Bridesmaids included Melissa Odenweller, cousin of the bride; Melissa Maag, friend of the bride; Kim Horstman and Karrie Langhals, sisters of the gorom; Tricia Hemker and Sarah Hemker, sisters-in-law of the bride; and Katrina Smith and Stephanie Schmit, friends of the bride.

Flower girl was Kate Hemker, niece of the bride and goddaughter of the groom.

Ring bearers were Jake and Nate Hemker, nephews of the bride; and Evan Langhals, nephew of the groom.

Matt Wannemacher of Ottoville, cousin of the groom, was the best man.

Groomsmen included Craig Spitnale and Chris Horstman, friends of the groom; Matt Pohlman, cousin of the groom; Ross Langhals, brother-in-law of the groom; Doug Hemker and Matt Hemker, brothers of the bride; and Brian Schroeder and Cory Miller, friends of the groom.

Grandmother of the bride is Julie Hemker. Grandmother of the groom is Evelyn Wannemacher.

A reception was held at the Ottoville Parish Center.

Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Dublin.

The bride is a graduate of St. John’s High School, Wright State University, with a BSN of Nursing. She is employed at the Ohio State University Medical Center. 

The groom is a graduate of Ottoville High School and the Ohio State University, with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. He is a probation officer with Franklin County.
