At approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Delphos Police Department, in conjunction with the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Swat Team, conducted two simultaneous narcotics-based search warrants on two separate houses in Delphos.
The first house was located at 317 N. Bredeick St. and the second house was located at 228 N. Cass St. Both of the houses were “raided” due to recent investigations revealing drug activity at these locations.
As a result of the search warrant at the North Bredeick Street home, two males were arrested. Jesse J. Blackburn, 18, of Delphos, and Thomas A Garza, 17, of Delphos.
Blackburn was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Van Wert County Jail. Blackburn also faces a potential charge of violating his probation.
Garza was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and obstructing official business. He was transported to the Delphos Police Department and was later released to his parents. Charges will be filed in to the appropriate juvenile court.
As a result of the search warrant at the North Cass Street home, one male was arrested. Phillip L. Cross, 21, of Delphos. Cross was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cross was transported to the Van Wert County Jail on these charges. Additional information will be presented to the Van Wert County Grand Jury regarding potential felony narcotics violations perpetrated by Cross.
