At 6:13 p.m. April 27, a Delphos police officer on patrol, observed a male known to him as 20-year-old Alex Hummer of Delphos operating a motor vehicle in the 600 block of North Jefferson Street. The officer had prior knowledge that Hummer’s driving status was suspended. After confirming this through dispatch, a traffic stop was conducted. Hummer was issued a citation for non-compliance suspension and released. He will appear in Van Wert Municipal Court to face the charge.
On April 28, officers took a report from a male victim who resides in the 800 block of West Clime Street. The male told officers that items were stolen from inside his residence. Officers received information on a possible suspect and this incident remains under investigation.
At 6:35 p.m. Thursday, a male came to the Delphos Police Department to report credit card fraud. The male told officers that he found fraudulent activity on his credit card where orders were placed without his knowledge. The credit card was cancelled and the incident is being investigated.
At 7:50 p.m. Friday, a Delphos officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South Clay Street. After speaking with the driver and passenger, it was found that the passenger, 45-year-old Debra Etzkorn of Delphos, was in possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage. Etzkorn was issued a citation for the open container violation. She will appear in Van Wert Municipal Court to face the charge.
At 11 p.m. Friday, officers proceeded to the 1000 block of North Main Street in an attempt to locate 30-year-old Scott Wilkins of Delphos. Wilkins was wanted on multiple warrants, including failure to appear for a court date and non-payment of child support. Officers located Wilkins and took him into custody. He was then transported to the Allen County Jail where he will appear in Lima Municipal Court.
