DELPHOS— Farm Credit Mid-America, an agriculture lending cooperative serving farmers, rural residents and agribusinesses throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, broke ground for a new office in Delphos to be located at 1625 East Fifth St.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held Monday morning and was attended by local officials, Farm Credit leaders and Farm Credit customers.

“We’re currently in a rented space here in Delphos,” said Carl Hess, regional vice president with Farm Credit in northwestern Ohio. “This new office will be a permanent investment in the community. When complete, the office will be approximately 5,100 square feet with 16 total desk spaces. We look forward to serving our Allen, Auglaize, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert county customers from this new office.”

Throughout 2014, Farm Credit will continue to build and renovate offices across its four-state territory. The new Delphos Farm Credit office is expected to be completed by early fall.

Farm Credit Mid-America is a financial services cooperative, and has served the credit needs of farmers and rural residents across Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee for nearly a century.
