|Marion Township Trustees support Issue I|

MARION TOWNSHIP — The Marion Township trustees held their regular scheduled meeting Monday with trustees, Jerry Gilden, Joseph Youngpeter and Howard Violet present.
The purpose of the meeting was to pay bills and conduct ongoing business. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. The trustees then reviewed the bills and gave approval for 18 checks totaling $22,471.01.
John Kirkendall was present with pictures regarding property nuisances at 5670 Hartman Road. Violet will contact the Allen County Treasurer Office regarding this. Police Chief Vermillion will also check to see if they are in any violations of the law.
Rick Keller from the Allen County Engineer’s Office was present to pick up a resolution stating the township’s support for Issue 1, which will be on the May 6 primary.
Road Foreman Elwer had pictures of a water issue at Good and Old Delphos roads. He contacted the county and along with the property owner, they have come up with a solution to hopefully resolve the issue, which will be a joint effort between the three parties.
He also had some question regarding the present Zoning Map and after some discussion, the trustees asked him to get with the LACRPC to get an updated map.
Youngpeter offered a resolution to proceed with the revised Road Program for 2014, which was seconded by Gilden.
Fiscal Officer Kimmet gave the trustees a copy of the Fund Status and Bank Reconciliation Reports for review and signature.
Gilden had a letter regarding an information meeting with the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District on May 15.
There being no further business, Youngpeter made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Gilden and passed unanimously.
