Cheryl Sue Keller, 67, of Lima died at 2:12 p.m. Monday at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was born on June 11, 1946, to Everitt and Annabelle (Miller) Rose, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Eric (Laura) Duncan of Fostoria; a daughter, Amanda (Neal) Mayer of Grove City; a brother, David (Rhonda) Rose of Spencerville; four grandchildren, Jordan and Kathryn Duncan of Fostoria and Abigail and Hannah Mayer of Grove City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Gary Rose.

Sue liked to write poetry and she had a collection of music boxes. She was an avid family photographer and enjoyed stitching and embroidery. Her main hobby was her family, especially her grandchildren. Most important was her devotion to the Lord and spreading his love and word. She was the master of holiday decoration and card giving. She truly enjoyed life. In her earlier years, she loved camping with her family, where she taught Sunday School.

Sue grew up attending Delphos First Assembly of God and later was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. She was a 1964 graduate of Jefferson where she was active in band and choir. Sue was co-organizer for her class reunions. She attended Southwestern Bible College and graduated from Lima School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club.

She was a LPN at St. Rita’s Medical Center and then at Lima Memorial Hospital and also worked at multiple nursing homes. Sue spent her life as a caregiver for over 35 years. She also worked at the YWCA water aquatics for arthritis, which led to much of her volunteer work. She was a coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation in the Lima branch office. Sue volunteered at the Red Cross and was a big supporter of the United Way. She also worked as a school nurse at Lima Temple Christian School.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Pastor Dan Eaton officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
