|Van Wert Police arrest Sidney man with bath salts|

VAN WERT — A Sidney man was arrested by Van Wert Police after he was found in possession of a bulk amount of the drug known as “bath salts.”
Brandon S. Turner, 28, was arrested by officers of the Van Wert City Police Department Tuesday night after he was found to be in possession of a bulk amount of bath salts.
According to Van Wert Police, an investigation discovered that Turner was bringing a large amount of the drug from Sidney to Van Wert. Officers confirmed that Turner had arrived and a confidential informant made a purchase from him.
Officers later located Turner’s vehicle and made a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Cherry Street at 11:12 p.m. Turner was arrested after he was found to have approximately 20 grams of bath salts and drug abuse instruments.
Turner was charged with third-degree felony drug possession, fourth-degree felony drug trafficking and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Van Wert Municipal Court this morning.
