FORT SHAWNEE — Host Shawnee’s girls cagers dominated the middle two quarters Tuesday night at Lappin Gymnasium, outscoring Fort Jennings 38-14 en route to a 55-34 non-league triumph.

Isabelle Baird and Claire Dahlke netted 17 markers each for the Lady Indians to lead the way.

On behalf of the Lady Musketeers, Emily Kehres was the lone double-digit scorer with 12.

 

Shawnee netted 23-of-54 shots, a hot 8-of-16 triples, for 42.6 percent and 1-of-4 at the charity line (50%). They corralled 22 rebounds, 12 offensive, as Jaden Marlowe had six; and added seven turnovers. Marlowe, Rayna Magee and Kaitlyn Gronas had three steals each.

 

The Musketeers were a chilly 12-of-41 from the floor, missing three triple tries, for 29.3 percent and 10-of-16 singles (62.5%). They tracked down 26 rebounds, 15 offensive, as Kehres had nine and Cassie Lindeman seven. Jenna Calvelage dished off three dimes. They added six turnovers.

They host Continental in PCL action Thursday, with junior varsity tipoff at 6 p.m.
