He was born May 2, 1946, in Delphos to James and Ann Lang, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan (Nomina) Lang, his two children, Barbara Lang (Thomas McCartney) and Ann Trulley (Richard) and his grandchildren, Alexander and Madeline McCartney.
George is also preceded in death by a brother, James Brady Lang.
He graduated from Delphos St. John’s High School in 1964. After graduating from Bowling Green State University, George became a CPA and began his own accounting firm, George Lang and Associates. He took great pride in his business and in his relationships with his clients.
George was also a tremendous fan of all sports, a great booster of BGSU athletics, an avid golfer and amateur fisherman. He loved holding a great ticket to a great event. With family and friends, he attended everything from college football tailgates, Tigers games and the Kentucky Derby to Broadway shows and the Central Catholic Spring Musical.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Richard Catholic Church in Swanton. Interment is private.
Friends and family will be received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo, with a prayer service and a “sharing of memories” at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mercy Foundation for Cancer Care, Toledo.
