|Arrest warrant leads to drug search|

DELPHOS — During the evening hours of Monday, Delphos patrol officers went to a residence located at 227 West Clime St., Lot 19, to look for an individual who had a warrant issued for their arrest.
While at this location, officers made contact with individuals inside the residence, however, the wanted individual was not there. During this interaction with those inside the trailer, officers observed what they believed to be marijuana.
Delphos officers, along with a Van Wert County Sheriff’s Deputy, secured the residence and obtained a search warrant.
At approximately 10:25 p.m., officers from the Delphos Police Department, along with members of the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, served the search warrant at this location.
Found inside the residence were the following items that were seized for evidentiary purposes:
• A small quantity of suspected dried marijuana;
• A large quantity of suspected drug paraphernalia;
• Items and equipment consistent with an operation to grow marijuana; and
• A small quantity of live, suspected marijuana plants.
At this time, there have been no formal charges filed, pending prosecutorial review.
