LIMA — The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash that occurred on Reservoir Road at the intersection of Bryn Mawr Road. The crash occurred at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Janelle Penager, 28, of Lima, driving a 1999 Chrysler LHS four door, attempted to turn left from Bryn Mawr Road onto Reservoir Road but turned into the path of Jeanna Hamp, 19, of Lima, who was driving a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser eastbound on Reservoir Road.
The vehicles collided and Penager’s vehicle slid into the left front bumper of a Bath school bus driven by Janet Metzger, 56, of Harrod and carrying 29 students. The school bus was stopped at the intersection waiting to turn south onto Bryn Mawr Road from Reservoir Road.
Hamp and her 11-month-old daughter were transported to St. Rita’s hospital in Lima with minor injuries. Penager was treated at the scene. No one on the school bus had injuries.
Penager was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left.
Bath Fire and EMS and Allen County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
